- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
- Operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
- Repairing machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment and tools.
- Repair broken or out of service equipment and tools.
- Provide help with customer issues over the phone and on the service calls in a variety of places and climates.
- Communicate with office personnel so we can maintain the highest level of efficiency.
- Provide great customer service skills and help with the loading and unloading of customers in "the yard".
- Make management aware of any unsafe vehicle, equipment or trailer issues immediately.
- Check fluids and maintenance on vehicles and equipment daily.
- Assist management with other duties.
- Perform field service calls for broken or down equipment.
- Retrieve broken or down equipment from job sites.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High level problem solving skills.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to maintain a presentable work appearance.
- Welding knowledge is a must.
- Ability to work at proficient pace under different environments.
- Ability to problem solve while on service calls.
