RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the preparation area from start to finish
- Ensures the prep stations are set up and properly stocked before and during service
- Ensures that all food products have been prepared correctly before making and are made to perfection per Moko's recipes and standards and with careful attention to any special dietary restriction or approved special request
- Maintains appropriate portioncontrol
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitization of food preparation area
- Unpacks, stocks, and organizes all items in and around the restaurant to maintain highest level of cleanliness as possible
- Maintains proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations
- Follows proper rotation procedures according to DOH regulations
- Completes side work checklist, as assigned, timely, and thoroughly in accordance of department standards
- Supports and assists your fellow team members whenever possible
- Communicates problems and ideas to Chef on Duty and/or General Manager
- Updates knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
- Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keeps work area clean and organized
- Informs Chef on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
- Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, and reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to Chef on Duty
REQUIREMENTS:
1+ years' experience as a Sushi Chef or similar caliber concept
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Multitasking abilities
- Detail oriented
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fastpaced work environment
Pay:
$ $45.00 per hour
