LANEY & LU is on the search for individuals looking to join Team LU as a front of house team member for both our
Exeter & Portsmouth, NH locations.

As a shift leader of our Front of House staff for LANEY & LU, you will provide friendly, responsive service to create an extraordinary customer experience by making genuine connection with our guests, discussing our menu and making recommendations when appropriate, taking their orders and processing payments, and serving food and/or beverages to our guests at the counter or table.

You will also engage in other tasks in the areas of food and beverage preparation including but not limited to blending smoothies, crafting coffee beverages, and making salads, wraps, and sandwiches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Align with LANEY & LU and ALTITUDE's mission, core values and team culture.
Lead team to success throughout the day
Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant
Managing cash drawer
Working closely with House Leader to ensure great overall guest and team experience
Demonstrate ability to model and infuse culture and branding sensibility daily, in all activities.
Prepare and serve menu items such as smoothies/bowls, wraps, salads; coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees; hot and cold teas; and Superfood beverages.
Serve prepared foods such as muffins, donuts, and protein bars.
Wrap, label, and date prepared food items for sale.
Communicate and cooperate with other team members for preparation of orders.
Take orders, process guest payments, and hand deliver completed orders.
Provide guests with product details such as ingredients and preparation descriptions.
Stock guest service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
Receive and stock supplies and retail products.
Set up or restock product displays.
Clean and sanitize dining and service areas.
Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
Take out garbage, linens, compost and recycling.

Previous experience in food preparation or food service and assembly is preferred but not required

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to accurately handle money and operate a pointofsale system
Able to understand and speak using the predominant language(s) of guest
Excellent basic mathematical skills.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Stamina and availability to work up to 4050 hours per week, for fulltime employees.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
