Our client, an engineering-focused product design company in Orange, CA, is hiring a
Project Manager to join their R&D team and manage projects from ideation through successful launch.

You'll have a big impact on the processes, methods, and tools used to deliver projects as this is a newly created position as the company continues to grow.

_What You'll Do_

  • Collaborate across the organization to plan, organize, and manage all phases of an engineering product design and manufacturing lifecycle, ensuring that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project governance plans, project schedules, team goals, success criteria, project milestones, resource management, key metrics, and budgets.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for issue management, risks, decisions, and the overall success of a project with internal and external (suppliers) teams.
  • Create and/or manage all projectrelated reporting, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Implement standards, processes, and tools used for effective project management.

_What You Bring_

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical, electrical or design engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a physical product development environment.
  • Experience with MS Project, Gantt charts, and gate phase project management.
  • Strategically minded, selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work across the organization to plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate the work of others.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment, remains calm under pressure, and builds trust and positive relationships with others.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
