Duties:


As a
Financial Systems Analyst, you will:


  • Work with the Director, in the formulation and execution of the Department's budget, strategic planning, financial management, the presentation of accurate financial information, and management integrity.
  • Perform indepth analysis of financial systems and data to assure accuracy and compliance with governing procedures and regulations and to assure practicality and efficiency relative to the overall goals and objectives.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and requirements and maintains a comprehensive understanding of current Federal policies and regulations as they pertain to financial systems as well as relevant compliance requirements applicable to Federal financial management systems.
  • Assist in developing the scope of work and work plans necessary to define and solve systems related problems in areas such as, automated systems, information management, internal controls, work methods and procedures.

Conditions of Employment:

The official duty station for this position will be in
Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.


Key Requirements:


  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Qualifications:


  • You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience:For the
GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.


Specialized Experience for this position includes:

-**:


  • Experience supporting the formulation or execution of a Budget; AND**
    Experience performing program and business feasibility studies to determine functional and accounting requirements for financial system automations; AND:

  • Experience developing, designing, or implementing automated financial systems; AND:

  • Experience working on projects to identify and resolve technical issues and problems.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or
volunteer service
. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
