Hours:

We are hiring for multiple staff to fill shifts 2PM-6PM Monday through Thursday & 9AM-12PM Sundays (by member reservation only).

Position includes a complimentary single membership with access to swimming, fitness, and group exercise classes. This position is ideal for students studying child development or early childhood education.

Job Purpose:
To ensure a safe, fun, clean, learning environment for the children left in our care. Provide positive customer service to Members.

Essential Job Functions:
*Create a positive, happy, safe environment for the children.
*Greet parents and children. Help them sign-in and put their belongings away.
*Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
*Schedule and cancel reservations and complete billing cards for each shift.
*Complete all opening/closing daily/weekly/monthly procedures.
*Assist Members with paperwork and set up billing accounts for Kids' Club.
*Communicate with Members regarding questions, concerns, and Kids' Club policies.
*Play and interact with the children in Kids' Club.
*Be involved and implement child-related programs and activities.
*Be alert and keep a watchful eye at all times.
*Comfort and re-direct children as needed.
*Assist children with bathroom and diapering, snack time, naps, etc.
*Supervise children while they eat; be alert to allergies at all times.
*Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently.
*Must be self-motivated, but willing and able to accept direction.
*Take initiative during slow times to do additional tasks, such as cleaning.
*Communicate with the Director on a daily basis.
*Ability to work in stressful situations and deal with stress in an appropriate manner.
*Follow dress code and keep a professional appearance at all times.
*Copy and file paperwork as necessary.

Interest in working with newborns, infants, toddlers and preschoolers is a MUST During the day you will engage them in stimulating, age-appropriate activities including story time, arts and crafts, games, outdoor play and more.

Physical Demands of Position:
Standing and walking 95% of shift. Lifting items/children up to 50 pounds during daily routine. Kneeling, stooping, stretching, twisting and turning. Use senses of sight, hearing, speech, and smell.

Education/Background Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of experience working with infants and preschool aged children. Basic math and writing skills. CPR certification upon hire. Must pass a criminal background check through the Trustline Registry Program.
