Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary


This position requires the inspection of machined parts, sheet metal parts, and welded parts for proper material, quality workmanship, dimensional, and functional.

The position requires moderate physical exertion, such as lifting, bending and considerable time standing.


Job Requirements
***- Ability to work independently from blueprints.

  • Able to do inspection setup on surface plate using common inspection equipment.
  • Operate hardness testing machine.
  • Operate Optical Comparator.
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • Perform receiving inspection and associated paperwork.
  • Prepare first article reports.
  • Report discrepancies by writing Rejection Notices.
  • Perform inspection on outside processing and associated paperwork.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
  • Be willing to work as a team.
  • Required to pass eye test.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years recent experience in a job shop environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of sheet metal, welding and machining.
  • Advanced blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
  • Ability to do all shop math functions associated with inspection setup procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand Customer and industry specifications.
  • Must be organized and able to multitask.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to drive forklift.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Must communicate in English.
This pay range for this position is $ $29.87 per hour.

The 2nd shift schedule is Monday - Thursday (4PM - 12:30AM), Friday (11:30AM - 8PM).
