In this newly created position within our Revenue Generating Value Chain, the Salesforce Solution Architect will be instrumental in driving improvements as it pertains to the global adoption of Salesforce.

You will work closely with product owners within the IT organization and will be responsible for understanding requirements / problem statements specific to the Salesforce Platform and building solution architectures which meet those requirements.

Ultimately, in this role, you will be charged with ensuring solutions are in support of strategic goals for the company - both business and IT.


What you'll do:


In this role, you will lead and mentor junior architects as well as development teams and will provide design oversight and guidance at varying levels during project execution.


Responsibilities:


  • Design solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs
  • Create Dataflow and Process mappings.
  • Assure the feasibility and sustainability of designed solutions
  • Design, publish, and evolve technical solutions and reference architectures that support current and future needs
  • Manage nonfunctional requirements and compliance
  • Define and prioritize enablers including exploration work and technical debt reduction
  • Enable continuous integration and continuous delivery that enables immediate feedback and adjustment
  • Manage, track, evaluate technical capability across Value Chain to facilitate the selection and alignment of a technical solution following enterprise guardrails. Execute POCs where applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring design meets Eaton's standards and requirements

Qualifications:


Basic requirements:


  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 12+ years of professional experience working with IT/software products within an organization.
  • Minimum 5+ years as solution architect within Salesforce space.
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Experience in a large, multinational organization.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Salesforce space ideal.

Skills:


  • Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering.
  • Expert level understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Manufacturing Cloud.
  • Expert level understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
  • Expert level understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code checkin through to deployment.
  • Extensive experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
  • Solid understanding and proven usage of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.
  • Extensive experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Experience with multiple cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience with systems like Jira.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working directly with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Good judgment, time management, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a technical team.
  • Patience and empathy when working with and coaching architects, developers, and testers.
  • Extensive experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams.
