Job Description
The Team Lead will be responsible for the safe and efficient production operations of their assigned area. This role is on SECOND SHIFT and the typical work hours are from 2:45PM - 11:15PM
Overview :
As a Quality Auditor Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of quality auditors and ensuring that all quality standards, safety protocols, and procedures are met within the organization.
Your role will involve providing support to your team, acting as a backup auditor when necessary, training new auditors, communicating quality and safety issues with the production team, and ensuring adherence to 5S standards.
Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting continuous improvement (CI) activities aimed at enhancing overall quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of quality auditors, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of their audits.
Serve as a backup auditor, conducting audits as needed to maintain compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and procedures.Train new auditors on audit processes, techniques, safety protocols, and standards, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Communicate quality and safety issues, findings, and recommendations to the production team, management, safety officers, and other relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality and safety issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Provide root cause analysis and problem-solving support to identify the underlying causes of quality and safety issues, develop corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Analyze audit data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency, and develop action plans accordingly.
Support the implementation of CI methodologies and tools, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management, to drive process improvements and enhance overall quality, safety, and performance.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, identify potential hazards, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalence Previous experience in quality auditing preferred Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team, communicate complex quality and safety concepts, and foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve quality and safety performance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in MS Office applicationsMust be able to:
Work independently, make decisions, communicate with others
Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
Lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs.occasionally
Primary shift is 2nd shift (2:15 pm – 11:30pm) with weekend support as dictated by production schedule.
