Our Houston team has an immediate need for a CADD Designer.

In this role you will be responsible for creating technical drawings used in the construction of products and materials while the drawing is carried out with specific CAD software.


What you will do:


  • Prepare drawings of complex integrated underground utility systems.
  • Ensure compliance of quality standards in CAD drawings.
  • Redesign and correct drawings according to markups and specifications.
  • Translate and convert field drawings and survey data into CAD systems.
  • Read, evaluate, and interpret designs and drawings.
  • Document and update all drawings.
  • Support compliance procedures of engineering standards.

Job Requirements:

Who you are**:
You are a critical thinker with excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities. You are accomplished at oral and written communication with exceptional listening and comprehension skills. You are a collaborator with good technical capabilities who wants to increase skills and use of technology.


What you bring:


  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
  • 36 years' experience as a CAD Designer.
  • Experience in MicroStation, Open Roads and AutoCad ect. in the Utility industry (SUE, Utility Coordination, Pipeline ect.).
  • Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of design and design processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings.
  • Attention to detail to create accurate and detailed drawings.
  • Essential to be able to work in a team as you'll be liaising with other CAD Designers on projects.
  • A flexible approach to decision making to make changes to drawings on short notice.
  • Mathematical skills to complete calculations and estimates.
  • Spatial and design skills to be able to visualize projects in 2D and 3D is a plus.
