    Location: Austin, Tx

    Contract:12 Months (W2 Only)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mainframe systems, architecture, and development. If you are passionate about designing and developing high-performance mainframe solutions and enjoy tackling complex problems, we want to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems.
    • Create high-level architecture solutions to address business needs and requirements.
    • Develop and implement efficient and scalable mainframe code, primarily using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system architecture, and deliver solutions.
    • Optimize and tune mainframe applications for performance and reliability.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
    • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mainframe applications and systems.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in mainframe development and architecture.
    • Document system designs, development processes, and architectural decisions.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer or Mainframe Architect.
    • Strong proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
    • Experience with mainframe tools and technologies (e.g., ISPF, TSO, VSAM).
    • Deep understanding of mainframe architecture and design principles.
    • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of mainframe systems.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with migration projects involving mainframe systems.
    • Familiarity with mainframe security and compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of modern development methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
    • Certifications in mainframe technologies or related areas.
