Are you passionate about connecting with students and fostering their interest in constitutional law and civil liberties? Join the Institute for Justice (IJ) as our Student Outreach Coordinator and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of liberty-minded lawyers


As the Student Outreach Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning, implementing, and facilitating programs at IJ involving undergraduate and law students.

From coordinating student clerkships to assisting with the management of summer internships, your work will directly impact the success of our student outreach efforts and contribute to our mission of advancing individual rights.


Key Responsibilities:


_ Student Engagement_

  • Assist in planning and organizing IJ's annual Law Student Conference and Legal Intensives.
  • Assist in content creation, speaker recruitment, and agenda planning for these events.
  • Serve as the primary contact for attending students and coordinate the logístical aspects of the conferences.
  • Help us to stay connected with students who've been through our programs and meet new students by representing IJ at external events and conferences and hosting occasional gettogethers.

_ Clerks and Interns_

  • Develop and execute hiring plans for student positions across all IJ offices.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to student hires.
  • Plan and organize training sessions and networking events for students.

_ Other Duties_

  • Assist with budgeting and reporting for student programming initiatives.
  • Lead special projects to enhance our organizational resources.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 03 years of experience. Exact title dependent on level of experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
