    Job Summary

    The Security Engineering Consultant plays a vital role in providing expert knowledge and technical support regarding Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, particularly those like Palo Alto XSIAM. This position includes the development of governance models, collaboration with sales and technical teams, and delivery of training content. You will also keep abreast of industry trends to guarantee effective solution delivery and contribute to the enhancement of security practices. Your goal will be to help clients understand and improve their complex operational environments through our services and technologies tailored to their unique security needs.

    This role is remote with a home office setup as defined by Stratascale management.

    • Offer in-depth expertise on Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, ensuring effective execution of services involving technologies like Palo Alto XSIAM.
    • Proactively assess customer needs through data analysis and engagement, recommending tailored solutions and guiding them through implementation and adoption.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to guarantee the successful execution of solutions.
    • Stay informed on emerging product technologies and industry developments to enhance service offerings.
    • Identify and present opportunities for advancing strategic functions in alignment with industry trends and client needs.
    • Ensure the successful execution of services aligned with client expectations and practice obligations.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of training relativity across practices, focusing on core capabilities, service offerings, and industry positioning.
    • Work collaboratively with peers to refine capabilities across various practices as necessary.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in optimizing and delivering security engineering solutions.

    Required Skills

    • Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto Networks XSIAM, including deployment, configuration, and management.
    • Experience with log management encompassing ingestion, parsing, normalization, and correlation.
    • Ability to integrate and operationalize threat intelligence feeds within XSIAM.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
    • Expertise in resolving complex technical and commercial scenarios while supporting competitive sales efforts.
    • Ability to educate and share information effectively across all organizational levels.
    • Capacity to lead and influence sales cycles, engaging relevant internal and external experts as necessary.
    • Proficiency in discussing both technical and non-technical topics with diverse customer audiences including C-Suite executives.
    • Driven, competitive mindset with a focus on customer engagement.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for identifying value in ambiguous situations.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, serving as a knowledgeable resource for resolution.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and others.

    Additional Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience is required.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience with security engineering projects for large organizations.
    • Knowledge of SOC workflows, incident response, threat detection, and security automation is essential.
    • Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms, particularly Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR and XSIAM.
    • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with XSIAM.
    • Willingness to travel for SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.
    • Preferred advanced industry certifications.

    The estimated annual salary for this role ranges from $130,000 to $153,900, including base salary and bonuses. Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and market location. Benefits may encompass, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
