Nood Bar by Chef Dane located at The Silos Food Hall & Beer Garden

Join Chef Dane as a Line Cook at his 2nd restaurant concept, Nood Bar, an Asian-inspired noodle bar with dumplings and bao buns. Bring your experience and skills as a Line Cook to refine your talent cooking alongside Chef Dane and the team at Nood Bar.

As Line Cook, you are responsible for sautée, grill and fry station. Nood Bar is located inside of a 20ft. Shipping Container at Dayton's newest food hall. The pace is fast, the volume is high, and focused/trained movement and skill is required. Food safety, attention to detail, focused skill, and high standards in fast-paced execution is required.

This opportunity is great for a candidate with skill and experience but the desire to further develop skills in creativity and further job development. Autonomy to own one's decisions but work together as a team is valued.

This is similar to working off a Food Truck; must be comfortable working within a confined spaces and in front of an audience, keeping the environment clean and providing customer service to customers from the line.

Responsibilities

Prepare recipes according to menu and standards
Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Collaborate with the Kitchen and Service team to deliver meals quickly (5-8 minute ticket time)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of Kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance
Participate in inventory management, including organizing supplies and minimizing waste

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or culinary setting
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Proficient in knife skills and various cooking techniques
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen
Creative mindset with an interest in menu planning and culinary innovation
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
