    Position Highlights
  • Upward Bound TRIo is a precollege program that works and prepares high school students to be eligible and prepared for postsecondary education. The Outreach Instructional Assistant III will coordinate and support the Upward Bound TRIO summer programming and summer curriculum. The Outreach Instructional Assistant III will also support students and staff.
  • This is a 36 hour a week temporary position. The position will be for 89 days or less.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and lead sustainable programming for summer and service oriented curriculum
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Upward Bound TRIO summer program
  • Create sustainable reporting for annual progress reports
  • Researches and assesses educational needs and interests for targeted public segments involved in the Upward Bound program
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops
  • Coordinate smallscale events with community partners
  • Promotes and fosters lifelong learning and outreach activities for individuals, families, organizations, and communities
  • Support programming and instructional staff, and support students through their summer projects
  • Supports students and families in their transition to postsecondary education as part of the program's scope of work
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
