"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions throughout the country who want to become even better with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as a train driver (railway employee in operational service, specializing in train driving and transportation) (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at our location in Singen (Hohentwiel). The vocational school is located in Freiburg.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • At the beginning of your apprenticeship, you will learn what you need to pay attention to in order to safely and punctually drive trains from A to B
  • Step by step, you will also be able to drive the trains yourself, with your instructors always by your side
  • You will get to know many different routes through nature, cities, or train stations and have the best view
  • If there are any deviations or changes in train operations, you will learn how to inform our passengers through the loudspeakers
  • You will also learn how our trains are prepared and put together for the journeys
  • After your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring our passengers have an environmentally conscious journey
