The Center Associate is responsible for delivering world-class customer service to all customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sales devices.

The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options, and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walkin customers and telephone inquires
• Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership
• Takes ownership of any shipping issues and offers viable solutions
• Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Performs other duties as required

• Excellent attendance recordNeat, clean, and professional appearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Retail/customer service experience required
• Good communication and people skills; strong verbal and written skills, including spelling and math
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
• Outstanding phone skillsPrompt, reliable, and responsible
• Able to lift over 40 pounds
• Able to pass background verification for both Fingerprint Roller and Notary PublicWilling to work various shifts and up to 40 hours perweek for up to a 7day work week when needed
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
