The Opportunity:

Full-time, paid Surgical Assistant position to support skilled oral surgeons and/or prosthodontists in various tasks related to oral surgery procedures.
Competitive compensation ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience level.
Four-day work week; total of 40 hours.
Benefits package inclusive of medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a retirement (401(k)) plan.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the oral surgeon and/or prosthodontist in all chairside duties related to dental implant surgery - retraction, suctioning, isolation, airway protection, and patient monitoring.
Assisting in the setup, execution, and documentation of procedures under local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation.
Aiding in the handling of dental instruments, implant parts, and components.
Offering pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients.
Preparing materials for impressions and taking dental x-rays as instructed.
Sterilizing instruments, organizing trays, and managing equipment for procedures.
Helping in obtaining medical clearances from patients' doctors.
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations on infection control.
Performing various office tasks such as patient scheduling, supply ordering, and records management.
Adhering to state regulations and licensing requirements for assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant.
Self-motivated with a strong focus on delivering excellent patient care.
