FAMILY ASSISTANT
We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced
Family Assistant to join our team Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an experienced Family Assistant for our City Sanctuary Facility for Families w/ Children in Staten Island, NY.
As the Family Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring a nurturing and enriching environment for the families at our facility.

ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of family events and family support.
- Organize family structured activities that can be enjoyed by parents and their children of all ages.
- Organize and supervise team games and sporting events for families to enjoy together.
- Lead arts & crafts projects.
- Ensure the safety and engagement of families in assigned activities.
- Assist with events, fairs, holiday parties, and any other program events.
- Additional duties and projects as assigned by the Family Engagement Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Experience leading activities with children, teens, and adults.
- This position requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate program schedule and special events.
