About the team

Our maintenance and reliability engineering team (RME team) in Parrottsville ensures that our equipment and facilities are always functioning optimally.

We are a team of technicians and engineers, consisting of excellent team players and led by experienced leaders. Together, we work to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment in our global network of fulfillment centers.

Some of our team members are managers who oversee the team's work on exciting, innovative technology - some of which is unique to Amazon.

From installing automated packaging systems to supervising general maintenance tasks at a site and repairing essential equipment for distribution, our team handles a large portion of the technical tasks at Amazon.

This includes ensuring that buildings continue to comply with legal requirements to keep everyone safe and our sites operating at maximum efficiency.

There are numerous opportunities for advancement within the RME team itself, as well as within the entire Amazon company.

All of our activities are focused on reducing downtime at Amazon's key operational sites, so that customers receive their orders on time.

Often, we work early in the morning, late at night, or during the night shift to perform maintenance with minimal disruptions.

If we find a better way to complete a task, we have the skills and opportunities to introduce completely new processes or groundbreaking technology, such as Amazon Robotics or our Complex Item Sorter.
