We are looking for an Accounting Associate to support our Accounting team.

The Accounting Associate's primary tasks will include maintenance of customer files, processing transactions, preparing invoices for billing, making General Ledger entries, participating in month-end and annual close, and supporting tax reporting needs.


To be highly considered, you should have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), have high proficiency in Excel, some experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP or other accounting software and be able to accurately key in information.

You should also possess excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position based out of our Downtown Los Angeles office.


What You Will Do

  • Support the preparation of various tax reporting requirements.
  • Maintain customer files, including all accounting and legal documents.
  • Research and analyze problem invoices and follow up on inquiries.
  • Contribute to monthly close and annual audits.
  • Makes entries to general ledger accounting system.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as scanning and mailing as needed.
  • Crosstrain with other members of the Accounting team to provide backup coverage and for career development purposes.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an Accounting program or a degree in Accounting from a fouryear college or university.
  • Good judgment and decisionmaking skills.
  • High level of personal integrity and professional ethics.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business conditions.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in a fastpaced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to thrive in a high growth, dynamic environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
  • Selfstarter and entrepreneurial spirit with handson approach towards business.
  • Well organized and able to multitask, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including senior management and business associates.

Compensation
- $16.78 per hour.

  • The role is classified as nonexempt.
