Telehealth Clinical Technician at Healthcare System

The Telehealth Clinical Technician (TCT) is an LPN serving in a generalist role to support Telehealth clinical program, providing a wide range of clinical and technical services to the Veteran.

Qualifications:

United States Citizenship: Citizen of the United States
Education: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency
Exceptions include: Health care education in the military service
Licensure: Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse
Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Grade Determinations: GS-3, GS-4, GS-5, GS-6

Duties:

Nursing Practice/Technical Competence
Performs Telehealth imaging and patient site facilitation
Responsible for clinical, business, scheduling, and technical aspects
Assists in patient care under direct supervision
Conducts quality control procedures on equipment

Observation, Reporting, and Documentation:

Identifies subtle changes in patient condition
Instructs patients on principles of health and self-care
Utilizes teaching materials to promote self-reliance
Completes required patient care documentation

Maintaining a Safe and Therapeutic Environment:

Maintains a safe, clean, therapeutic environment
Practices aseptic techniques during sterile procedures
Identifies and reports unsafe conditions to the registered nurse
Takes necessary precautions to ensure patient safety

Interpersonal Relationships/Customer Service:

Communicates in a professional manner
Interacts with visitors/staff courteously and thoughtfully
Displays a helpful, proactive attitude toward customers

Work Schedule: 8AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday. Telework: Not Available. Virtual: Not a virtual position.
