    Description

    Job Description

    This position is looking for someone with solid technical experience in managing Linux servers in both physical and virtual environments. The main tasks include handling service inquiries, identifying customer issues, and implementing solutions to resolve them. The role also involves analyzing problems, finding solutions to avoid recurring issues, and optimizing the existing infrastructure for better performance. Some tasks may require configuration of software, server maintenance, and troubleshooting customer servers. The team works within an Agile Framework to plan and execute all projects successfully.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Reviewing C&A documentation to provide feedback on quality and compliance.
    • Installing and maintaining systems, managing accounts, handling patches, and troubleshooting IA and CND systems.
    • Developing solutions and strategies independently to solve complex problems.
    • Contributing to project deliverables and performance metrics when needed.
    • Managing physical and virtual server hardware and software.
    • Offering technical support, administration, and monitoring for Linux systems.
    • Decommissioning servers as required through approved processes.
    • Installing and removing service applications and scripts.
    • Maintaining server assets in line with vendor requirements.
    • Implementing capacity planning and tuning actions for servers.

    Required Experience and Skills

    • Requires a bachelor's degree and over 12 years of relevant experience.
    • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
    • Expertise in system security engineering, system integration, risk management, and more.
    • Background in Linux and UNIX server setup and maintenance.
    • Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server and system hardening.
    • Knowledge of server operating systems like CentOS, RHEL, or Ubuntu.
    • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues in a dynamic environment.
    • Skills in system requirements analysis, integration, testing, and quality assurance.
    • Ability to work independently to solve technical problems effectively.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Experience working in a team and contributing to process improvement.

    Desired Skills

    • Understanding of AWS or Azure cloud services.
    • Experience in Windows environment management.
    • Certification in VMware (VCA/VCP).
    • Knowledge of SAN or network storage setup.
    • Experience in Agile methodologies and Hyper Converged Infrastructure.
