Description

Our boutique style cosmetic dermatology and laser center located on Madison Avenue's Upper East seeks a motivated, organized, medical assistant to be right-hand to our primary provider and clinical support to other providers. Medical Assistants are an important member of the clinical team and assure that patients have a positive, caring and professional experience during their office visit. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly, as well as assist with media marketing and social media management.
Part-time with opportunity for full-time position


Requirements:


  • A minimum of 12 year experience as a medical assistant/laser tech/aesthetician in plastic surgery, dermatology or medical spa environment
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus
  • A passion for the internet, social media, and thorough knowledge of social trends in beauty, wellness and skincare
  • Experience and active with wide range of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Familiarity with procedures such as botox, dermal fillers, lasers, peels and sclerotherapy
  • Must be adept at promoting products and services
  • Must have experience with a booking / appointment scheduling/POS systems
  • Must have knowledge of EMR and eRx systems and be able to assist in prescription filling
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with coworkers, clients and visitors; cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in diverse workplace and with a diverse client population
  • Familiarity with current Mac operating systems (as applicable)
  • Flexibility in responding courteously to immediate needs of visitors and callers; ability to establish priorities and maintain productivity despite numerous interruptions
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA guidelines

Responsibilities:


  • Our MA will work alongside the provider performing routine administrative and clinical assignments, to keep the medical facility running smoothly
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Serve as provider assistant
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Perform followup calls after certain procedures
  • Keep an organized flow of schedule; assisting patients to exam rooms, reviewing procedure information and collecting consent, manage patient photography/videography and filing, and changing over rooms
  • Cleans and stocks treatment room including laying out special equipment or supplies to be used during a patient visit.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization of equipment
  • Gathers, maintains, and updates clientele information in database
  • Assisting director in independent tasks and other misc projects
  • Maintaining the aesthetics of the spa, including light cleaning and trash removal
