Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support day-to-day activities associated with administering Configuration Management (CM).
  • Provides word processing or technical writing support in the preparation of technical and administrative publications associated with engineering and scientific research, development and testing, and related activities.
  • Performs word processing tasks requiring formal training or performs technical writing tasks requiring a comprehensive technical knowledge of writing and editing practices and procedures.
  • Receives guidance, as required, from supervisor and may work directly with task originator.
  • Interface with quality management to ensure project workflow and problem resolution.
  • Support the development of a database of CM information.
  • Conduct physical configuration audits (Functional, Physical, Developmental Product Baseline, and Certified Product Baseline).
  • Serve as a liaison between agencies regarding all engineering matters, as well as identify and recommend areas for product improvement.
  • Prepare indepth reports upon completion of configuration audits.
  • Ensure resolution of configuration audit action items.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


  • An associate degree or two years completion from an accredited college in a field related to the requirement OR shall have five years of experience and knowledge of system testing and disciplined planning, execution, observation, and reporting.
  • Capable of performing word processing or technical writing tasks associated with research, development, test, and evaluation activities with full effectiveness after a brief orientation period.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Training and expertise to perform ISO 900:2015 internal audits.
