About the Position:


This position will be a right fit for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who truly enjoys serving patients and has a sincere desire to grow in the field.

You will be provided with many opportunities to develop your assisting skills by working with top doctors and staff.

As a Registered Orthodontic Assistant, your primary responsibility is to deliver a "memorable experience" by providing patients with the highest quality of care.


For this position, we offer a generous compensation package that includes above-the-market base pay plus a monthly office goal bonus.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
  • Taking Xrays of patients' mouths.
  • Taking photographs of patients' teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
  • Taking dental molds of patients' teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
  • Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands.
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
  • Wielding suction tools and passing instruments during treatment
  • Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
  • Adjusting retainer fit
  • Providing athome instructions for proper orthodontic care
  • Preparing and taking patient molds
  • Remain up to date on CPR certification.
  • Review contracts, HIPAA regulations, and payment plans.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations while filing patient dental history and paperwork.


What we are really looking for is an Orthodontic Assistant with at least 4 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Exceptions can be made for those with less experience who can compensate with their determination, personality, and commitment to exceptional service.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current radiography certification required.
  • Orthodontic Assistant certification as required by the state.
  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation is preferred.
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by law.
  • Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professionalism in all aspects of the job.
  • Good grooming and professional image.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and anticipation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Pay:
From $25.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 20 per week


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

Orthodontic Assisting: 3 years (required)
