- Must be able to oversee NDE and NDT testing and documentation in industrial field and shop settings.
- Must have the ability to accurately interpret the results of said testing in alignment with job-specific standards or referenced codes
- Must be able to write WPS and PQRs
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- Must be able to read, understand, and interpret common codes and standards of the business, including but not limited to the GCI Quality Management System, ASME, and AWS Codes
- Must be able to communicate written and verbal expectations to a wide range of
- employees, from field workers to company President
- Field Inspection and Documentation
- Promotion of company Quality Management System and customer quality requirements to field workers and field supervisor
- Guidance and direction on quality system adherence to Project Managers, Estimators, and Field Superintendents to ensure job success
- Recommendations to close gaps in compliance with standards and codes for work processes and jobs
- Qualification of welders to ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1 or other codes and standards dictated by job scope
- Conduct internal audits of the Quality system and make recommendations for changes that affect quality
- Maintain welder continuity
- Assist the Quality Manager in the management the Quality system
- The ability to stand for extended periods is required for this position.

- At least 5 years in heavy construction
- At least 3 years in industrial fabrication
- Working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes
- Be familiar with ASME Section XI, Section VIII Div. 1 B31.1, B31.3, and AWS D1.1
- Possesses current AWS CWI and preferably holds a current Level II or higher certificate in LPT and MT
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other computer programs
- Full time, Hourly. Typical hours include M-F, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Work hours depend heavily on work projects
- that may include hours outside of typical on a non-regular basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The QA/QC Senior Inspector provides field support, inspection, and direction to Field Superintendents and Work Crews regarding process work that must meet job-specific requirements or code utilizing the company quality management system and know standards for welding and fabrication.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
At times, this position will require office setting type work at employer-provided computers in climate-controlled locations. Otherwise, the working environment is often hot/humid temperatures and may include exposure to hazardous chemicals, heavy moving equipment, and other hazards/risks. Ideal candidates must be safety conscious.
