The Setup Operator is primarily responsible for the setting up of designated machines, tools, and work cells in an approved manner that ensures safe operation (in accordance with OSHA regulations) and the production of a quality product within specifications per the standard approved processing parameters.
Available Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday 9:45pm - 7:15am, Monday - Thursday 11:30pm - 7:15am (required training on 1st shift for 1-2 weeks)00 shift differential for 3rd shift)
Setup of all designated Machines, including all Steel Coil Processing lines, Mfg Cells / Work Stations, and Tooling according to Work Instructions, Part prints, and Part sample specifications to ensure the process meets quality and performance standard expectations.
Receive approval on Machine Setup, Safety requirements, and First Article Inspection from manufacturing Lead, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure proper setup qualification.
Provide a Part print and First Article Inspection part at the machine or workstation to allow for the ongoing validation of the production part conformance to specifications.
Contributing to and communicating the need for: quality, safety, and cleanliness of work areas and job setups in order to establish and support an effective workplace environment.
Quality Assurance Checks ofPart Production:
Train Production Workers and Setup Operator I Staff on Standard Work and to periodically validate adherence to Standard Work, re-train when required, in order to ensure proper Part processing and Part quality.
Communicate with Quality, Leads, Supervisors, and Managers material or processing issues to ensure for continuous production of quality product.
Communicate with Quality, Leads, Supervisors, and Managers on current or potential future failure events in order to establish the need for machine and tool maintenance or repairs.
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED,) one to three years of related experience and/ or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires forklift certification (training and certification can be provided)On the job training may be required.
