Compliance Administrator - Bel Air, United States - Office of Mental Health Core Service

Reports to:
Youth Services Director
Work Location:75% Remote/25% On-Site
This is a full-time permanent position responsible for assessing risks, solving problems, interpreting data and ensuring program compliance. The individual in this position reports directly to the Youth Services Director.
This is a remote-friendly position with the requirement to report in-person for mandatory trainings, staff meetings, site visits, and other events at the request of the administrative leadership.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Acts as a representative of the local Behavioral Health Authority to Harford County Government and local stakeholders.
- Conducts community needs assessments to assess local needs and gaps.
- Conducts asset mapping of current services.
- Develops a crosswalk guide of current billable services to avoid duplication with services provided by spokes.
- Participates in meetings to assist with development of program compliance tools and provide technical assistance involving evidencebased practices.
- Assists with ongoing development and implementation of Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) spoke functions.
- Assists Harford County Public Schools with developing and executing provider agreements.
- Assists in developing and monitoring program performance requirements for OMH/CSA sub vendors.
- Investigates consumer complaints to improve quality of services being delivered.
- Conducts annual audit of subvendors and produces findings report.
- Follows up on Performance Improvement Plans submitted by public behavioral health providers.
- Conducts site visit for new provider establishments.
- Ensures required program reports are submitted on time and reviews reports for accuracy.
- Assists in procurement process for new spokes.
- Reviews and analyzes data to provide recommendations to the Youth Services Director on ways to enhance and expand the quality of care being provided by spokes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess risks, solve problems and interpret data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Ability to collaborate with community providers and key stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and resolve administrative issues and program complaints.
- Encourages and facilitates cooperation and trust, fosters commitment and team spirit, and works with others to achieve goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to set and accomplish goals, both independently and as a member of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or another social servicerelated field.
- At least two years' experience conducting compliance and quality assurance oversight.
- Preference for those with experience working within the public behavioral health system.
- Preference for those with grant writing experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Willingness to travel in Maryland.
