- Provides excellent customer service, addressing billing inquiries and resolving issues
- Reconciles payments and ensures accuracy in financial transactions
- Handles incoming mail and organizes correspondence efficiently
- Assists in facilitating insurance and patient refunds
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of organizational procedures
- Performing general clerical duties and routine functions
- Undertaking any other assigned duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- Associates degree in a related field - preferred
- Certified in specific medical or dental billing - certification by employer
- Minimum of two years in billing, collections, or cash posting
- Medical billing practices and terminology in healthcare settings
- Insurance remittance processes and coding systems
- Specialties in hospital or clinic billing
- Payment reconciliation and account balancing
- Proficient in keyboard and 10-key operations
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Perform in a fast-paced environment
