    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position (B3 South) at a Magnet-designated Level II trauma center in Asheville, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities

    • Med/Surg Telemetry unit (B3 South) within a large, 815-bed acute care hospital
    • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 13-week contract
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
    • The facility has earned Magnet Designation and has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals (Healthgrades, 2020–2023)
    • The hospital serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III NICU
    • First-time travelers are not explicitly noted as welcome; 2+ years of experience is required

    Requirements

    • Active NC or compact RN license required
    • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for Tele RNs
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
    • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
    • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
    • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
