    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Tele Spine Unit (K6) day shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities

    • Position is located on a Med/Tele Spine Unit (K6) within a large 815-bed acute care hospital
    • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (arrival by 6:45 AM, release by 7:15 PM)
    • 13-week travel contract
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
    • The facility has earned Magnet Designation, Leapfrog 'A' Safety Grade, and has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals (Healthgrades 2020–2023)
    • The hospital serves as a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and houses the region's only children's hospital

    Requirements

    • Active NC or compact RN license required
    • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in telemetry or med/tele required
    • Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for telemetry RNs
    • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
    • One professional reference required
    • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
