- In this position, you will be a responsible systems/software engineering leader for the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense product line groups in Syracuse NY, leading 16-22 systems/software engineers in the development of complex systems. Primary program support is for Army Radar products.
- Responsible for personnel management including staffing, administration, performance assessment, and feedback. Program area responsibilities include review and approving of functional proposal input and BOEs.
- Individual will own, execute, and status department level initiatives, and act as change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovation.
- The manager supports and oversees the development and execution of engineering efforts including ensuring cost, schedule, and technical milestones are met. It is expected that the Manager will be > 50% applied doing direct program tasking in some type of leadership and/or technical capacity within the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense radar product areas.
- Staffing responsibilities include the projection and planning of appropriate staffing levels, recruiting and selection of interns, contractors, college hires and experienced professionals.
- Facilitates and ensures technical vitality of functional team to meet current and strategic requirements
- Fosters career development and employee growth as: Technical contributors, program leads, functional leaders, and future business leaders
- Guides resolution of technical issues across programs within technical discipline
- Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and product
- Ensures appropriate Basis of Estimates are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates

Broad background in systems engineering and with specific experience in Radar Systems Engineering, Software Engineering and/or Radar Integration and Test is desired.

Experience with other advanced SE/SW techniques such as Agile and MBSD is a plus, as is experience in several key domains including architecture, analysis, design, trade studies, integration, and test.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 .

Non-represented full-time employees:

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000.
