- Processing booking requests and providing accurate rate quotes.
- Communicating shipment status updates and proactively addressing any concerns.
- Building strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.
- Preparing and submitting accurate customs documentation.
- Liaising with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other regulatory agencies.
- Ensuring import compliance and minimizing potential delays.
- Tracking inbound shipments from origin to destination.
- Identifying and proactively resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintaining accurate shipment records and ensuring timely delivery.
- Working closely with operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure efficient movement of cargo.
- Contributing to continuous process improvement through open communication and collaboration.
- Assisting with other import-related tasks as assigned.
- Staying up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in airfreight forwarding, customs clearance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of US import regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and freight forwarding software (e.g., Descartes, CargoWise).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
