Description

As supervised by Academic Engagement, Instruction and Collections Head Librarian, provides administrative assistance including personnel coordination, data assessment, communications management and other duties as assigned; oversees Interlibrary Loan services and provides other circulation assistance as assigned.


Essential Functions

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position._
  • Provides administrative assistance to Head Librarians and support services to the MBI Library team such as scheduling, organizing, coordinating meetings, producing reports, preserving vital data relating to activities, meetings, special functions
  • Compiles, coordinates, produces, delivers all accreditation reports and designated Library benchmark metrics used in the analysis of MBI Library services
  • Coordinates and executes library communications, including library newsletters, social media platforms, signage, and promotional material
  • Manages petty cash monies; responsible for sustaining various spreadsheets and electronic files; processes invoices.
  • Performs personnel service support for parttime payroll tracking, hiring/departure requisition forms and securing other personnel data
  • Maintains and monitors budget projection spreadsheets
  • Plans and organizes student worker orientations, trainings, and other related special functions
  • Provides various MBI Library data/information support such as organizing, preserving, protecting all Librarydrive data
  • Serves as Library liaison for various committees and projects
  • Receives and processes interlibrary loan requests
  • Processes interlibrary items that have been requested and borrowed
  • Preserves and maintains Interlibrary Loan documentation in an easily accessible manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven excellence regarding accuracy and consistent focus on high level of details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Successful track record for consistently meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability or working experience in any of the following areas: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, posting/tracking/projecting of expenses, Instagram, X, or other social media platforms
  • Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements

  • Graduate degree with academic Bible background
  • Experience in an academic setting using Worldshare, Alma, Oracle, Canvas Software

Work Environment/Conditions

Operates in standard library work environment. Monday - Friday work hours with occasional weekends possible.
