    Job Overview:

    LPL's Advisor Institute helps people who aspire to become financial advisors achieve that goal. We partner with established financial advisors who qualify to become sponsors-or Managing Advisors-and have committed to growing their teams. We offer training programs that are designed to jumpstart the career of new to the industry candidates so they can make an immediate impact upon joining their sponsor's team. Our training professionals help them learn the fundamentals of the business, navigate the logistics of licensing, and provide mentorship along the way to ensure their success. We also offer opportunities to more established advisors committed to life-long learning and upskilling to stay at the top of their game.

    Responsibilities:

    Support end-to-end management of existing and new training programs including:
    • Responsible for facilitating skills training, mentoring, and development programs to advisors, including leading distant and in-person training to both large and small audiences with a variety of backgrounds.
    • Coaching peers and advisors in group, shadowing, and 1 on 1 scenarios
    • Own training programs end-to-end
    • Leverage metrics and feedback to identify learnings that can be used to enhance the outcome for those who are engaged in training programs.
    • Leverage technology opportunities to achieve program objectives.
    • Delivering top-notch virtual learning experiences that provide the knowledge and skills a candidate needs to maximize their productivity and overall impact
    • Assessing program effectiveness with an eye to identifying gaps and determining training needs or areas of improvement through surveys and/or communication with trainers, participants, and sponsors.
    • Answers routine inquiries regarding training programs
    • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
    • Working with broader training development team to design, build and enhance current and new lessons that are relevant and address both advisor needs and business objectives; Staying abreast of trends and tools in the training and development space
    • Review existing training programs; suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention in regards in training programs
    • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
    • Building relationships with training partners such as guest speakers/subject matter experts and vendors into programs
    • Facilitating a feedback strategy to identify learnings and gain valuable insights that can be used to enhance the outcome for participants who enroll in our programs
    • Communicating with Managing Advisors, including emails, generating attendance reports, etc.
    • Assisting with planning and execution of program events
    What does your success look like in the first 90 days?

    In the first 90 days a successful candidate will learn about LPL, our business, structure and Advisor Institute team; get up to speed on the program line up; immerse themselves in all aspects of the training programs they will oversee; take over delivering or facilitating (select) programs; and begin to formulate an approach for evaluating the current state.

    Requirements:
    • 4-7 years experience in training design and facilitation role
    • Strong Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience, particularly the ADDIE model
    • Financial Services sales, service, or training experience
    • Series 7 and/or 66 licensing
    • Organized and highly collaborative-with the ability to engage on multiple levels with key stakeholders and program participants to (internal and external) training partners and subject matter experts.
    • Solid presentation and communication skills and must be equally competent at engaging and instructing a large group as they are in a one-to-one coaching session.
    • Ability to present complex information simply and clearly-breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, more bite-sized teachings
    • Proactively recognize and address program gaps and create increased value and overall experience of the participants
    • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Smartsheet, as well as platforms such as Salesforce and online training delivery technologies
    • Ability to travel to home office and conferences as needed
    Preferences:
    • Currently hold Series 7 and Series 66 is preferred, but these must be obtained within the first three months of employment
    • BS in Education, Training, HR, Communications, Financial Services or related field a plus
    • Currently hold or interested in progressing toward CFP designation a plus
    • Strong data analytics experience, including creation of dashboards
    Pay Range:
    $68,960-$103,440/year

    Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
