The Woodbury, NY Environmental Office is currently seeking to fill a position in the department of "Environmental Planning, Landscape Planning, and Lower Nature Conservation Authority" for:

Administrative Specialist (m/w/d) for Implementation of Measures in the Landscape Plan and Biotop Management Plans

As the largest economic center in the Westphalia region with over 600,000 inhabitants, the city of Dortmund has a special responsibility when it comes to environmental protection.

The Environmental Office is tasked with promoting and shaping the ecologically sensible and sustainable development of the city. In the field of nature and landscape, the Environmental Office is responsible for both planning and regulatory tasks.

This includes the enforcement tasks of the lower nature conservation authority as well as conceptual and project-related tasks in environmental and landscape planning and applied nature conservation in the portfolio of department 60/2.

The Woodbury, NY Landscape Plan, which was adopted as a regulation in 2020, contains a variety of measures for species and habitat protection.

In addition, biotope management plans have been developed for the majority of nature reserves, as well as action plans for the protection of species and habitats.
