Key Accounts Manager - Distribution
The Key Accounts Manager

  • Distribution (KAM-D), reporting directly into the Director of Distribution
  • US (DD-US), will be a key member of the Company's sales organization. The primary focus of this position is sales growth from our list of identified Key Accounts throughout the United States. The KAM-D will, as a member of the Distribution Sales Leadership Team, collaborates with sales management to execute the sales growth strategy through distribution with highly effective direct influence of strategic end users thru our Key Accounts. Exceptional coordination of goals, assignments, tactics and resource deployment between the Key Accounts Manager and the Director of Distribution
  • US is critical to the success of the Distribution Team.
A day in the life of a Key Accounts Manager can look like

  • Deliver assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets. Emphasis must be on sustainable growth and longterm commitments.
  • Develop and grow relationships directly with and execute a business development growth plan in conjunction with the Identified Key Accounts.
  • Develop and close material sourcing agreements with assigned key distributor partners. Concentrating on high volume core product for AB and core product of the distributor.
  • Maintain all Identified Key Account agreements. Suggest new subprograms to add to these agreements that bring more mutual value to Ammeraal Beltech and distribution.
  • Develop and execute key account plans for all Identified Key Accounts.
  • Ensure new programs are properly communicated to all sales managers responsible for any branches of specific distributors. Also ensure programs are successfully launched at the major distributor branch locations.
  • Establish guidelines for the addition or removal of distributors from Identified Key Accounts.
  • Monitor results of all programs and develop leading indicators to determine when corrective actions or countermeasures are necessary.
  • Develop and execute corrective actions and countermeasures before variances threaten annual sales goals.
  • Responsible for complete and professional documentation of all sales activities using CRM, Key Account Plans, Joint Sales Growth Plans, and any other document or system required by the DD-US.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the full range of company products and develop plans that ensure all products are properly marketed by Identified Key Accounts.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance review, as well as all sales meetings required by the DD-US.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate and contribute to regular SIOP meetings with Operations.
  • Partner with product management to identify, establish and implement revenue generating marketing campaigns for Identified Key Accounts.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations with major distributors and strategic endusers working with legal counsel as required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the full range of company products and develop plans that ensure all products are properly marketed through distribution.
  • Develop a strong ongoing working relationship with other sales leaders in the Company.
  • Complete any additional assignment as required by the DD-US

We are looking for you to have

  • Bachelor's degree in (Mechanical, Industrial) Engineering, or Business Administration preferred;
  • 10 years of experience in successful sales or Business Development;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Power Point, Word;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strategic planning and project execution;
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills;
  • Strong time management by maintaining calendar and business meeting scheduling;
  • Capable of managing a variety of stakeholder relationships;
  • Comfortable working in a changing international matrix organization;
  • Flexible in approach and prepared to work outside normal working hours if required;
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred;
  • 50%75% travel required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work in the US
