JOB SUMMARY:


Under the general direction of the agency's Administrative Controller, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties to help support the Accounting and Finance department.

This position must be able to maintain organized and updated records for the agency. Other duties assigned will require the ability to juggle multiple projects and have strong time management skills. These duties are meticulous, but extremely crucial to accurate company reporting.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Review invoices, obtain necessary approvals, code expenses, and enter data into the accounting system.
  • Prepare and perform weekly or monthly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with reporting accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing activities, including preparing journal entries, allocating transactions appropriatly, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tasks as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Assist HR with any audits necessary for upcoming surveys and/or reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and adhoc assignments as assigned by management.

Pay:
$45, $50,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Scottsdale, AZ preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Scottsdale, AZ 85260: Relocate before starting work (required)
