- Lead public relations efforts, creating press releases and media advisories, and building relationships with media contacts both within the community and in the greater tri-state area to advance the perception of WCHS.
- Collaborate well with team and internal departments to identify needs and recommend strategic communication opportunities to create simple, accurate, and impactful messaging.
- Act as the primary contact for the Winnebago Health Foundation, our development office, helping to support integrated campaign efforts.
- Serve on our employee engagement committee helping to communicate and inspire engagement from our staff.
- Develop, manage, and execute communications plans for the organization across platforms to reach audiences within budget requirements according to strategic goals.
- Analyze audience profiles and track performance data of all efforts to provide insights and recommendations to guide strategy and communication for the organization.
- Act as brand liaison to the organization to ensure consistent brand voice, vision, and aesthetics are achieved; develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with organizational mission, vision, and values. Manage and advocate for brand standards both within the organization and externally.
- Work with a team to develop and maintain the website and social media strategies to support the organization across efforts.
- Work with a team to manage social media communications to grow followers, create engagement, and drive traffic from all social channels.
- Work with a team to drive traffic to, assist, and cover all organizational events.
- Assist with all team, departmental, and organizational strategies as needed.
- Bachelor's degree (Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Business) and 3-5 years of marketing or sales experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to develop content for SEO is preferred.)
- Experience working both independently and as a team, managing and balancing workload and priorities, and then receiving and providing constructive feedback and edits.

Description
Job Purpose & Position Overview:
The Marketing Specialist position is a full-time position that focuses on increasing the visibility of the Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System (WCHS) to the public. This position's primary responsibilities are centered on creating media communicating with the media, developing print, email, and social written content campaigns, and supporting our Foundation. This position will be full-time, with hybrid flexibility to allow for 1-2 days for remote work each week.
