Direct Supplies Clerk - Orrtanna, United States - Knouse Foods
Description
Maintains supplies inventory by controlling incoming and outgoing shipments of items for the Company, and employees of the Company, by releasing purchase orders, and handling UPS (or other carriers) shipping activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following
(Performs other assignments or duties as required.)
Ensures supply and inventory correctness by running reports for variations, damaged cans, inventory, and UPS (and other carriers) shipments.
Helps Company maintain positive relations with suppliers/vendors through prompt, timely processing/ receiving bill of ladings.
Assists the Direct Supplies Supervisor in the ordering of supplies to be used in production by performing necessary releases of purchase orders on file.
Prevents loss of data by filing certificates of analysis, bill of ladings, and Arizona tea documents.
Provides services by supplying growers and Co-op members with needed supplies as requested.
Provides necessary supplies by ordering supplies for production from cold storages.
Contributes to the prevention of erroneous charges by tracking pallets sent to companies.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Contributes to the Company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures, and use of resources.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before supervisor or group of employees.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is generally sedentary but may require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold conditions in the freezer and outside weather conditions when visiting external warehouses.
Pay:
$17.83 per hour
