- MES Design and Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into MES solutions.
- Design and configure MES applications using Rockwell Automation or Emerson platforms, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Customize MES functionalities to meet specific manufacturing process needs and improve overall operational performance.
- Integration and Deployment:
- Lead the integration of MES with existing manufacturing systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and ERP systems.
- Manage the deployment of MES solutions, overseeing installation, testing, and validation activities to ensure smooth implementation.
- System Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing support for MES systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular system upgrades and enhancements to optimize performance and functionality.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to facilitate training and knowledge transfer.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within MES workflows, driving efficiency gains and cost savings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in MES design, implementation, and support, with a focus on Rockwell Automation Products (PMX, FactoryTalk PharmaSuite) and/or Emerson platforms (Syncade MES, DeltaV PCS).
- Ability to assist with upskill/mentorship of junior engineers in Rockwell OR Emerson products
- Proficiency in MES configuration tools, scripting languages, and database management systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA regulations for pharmaceuticals).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Position Overview: As an MES Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within our organization. Leveraging your expertise in Rockwell Automation Products (such as PMX or FactoryTalk PharmaSuite) and/or Emerson (for example, Syncade MES or DeltaV PCS), you will ensure seamless integration of MES solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across our manufacturing operations.
Location: Role can be performed virtually thru 2024, with periodic site (Indianapolis & Lebanon) visits.
Duration: 12-Month Recurring Contract Through Location Needs Subject to Change Based on Consultant Circumstance)
