Job Summary:


In collaboration with executive system level leadership, responsible for the strategic and operational components of Sleep Medicine and Neurodiagnostic Services for Froedtert and Community Health system.

Plans and coordinates daily administrative Sleep and Neurodiagnostic functions for the CMH Patient Care Division, oversees the implementation of effective staffing, scheduling and patient flow systems and is responsible for leading Sleep and Neurodiagnostic services efforts within Froedtert and Community Health (includes CMH - Community Memorial Hospital, FH - Froedtert Hospital, SJWB - St. Joseph's Hospital West Bend). Provides administrative and clinical direction for Sleep Disorders Center and Neurodiagnostics, and Sleep clerical services.

Directs the integration of related therapeutic and diagnostic services within the areas of Sleep Center and EEG services in the Community Division.

Enhances existing programs, develops new programs, and works in collaboration with the Medical Directors of Sleep Medicine and neurologist in neurodiagnostic services.

Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Four to five years of leadership experience in respective professional/clinical area is required.

At least 5 years of clinical experience in which competence and expertise in Polysomnography and Neurodiagnostics has been demonstrated is required.

Multidisciplinary supervision experience is preferred.


EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Associate Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required. Bachelor degree in related business field is required or intent to pursue formalized within 2 years.


TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Completion of special training and certification in Polysomnography and Electroneurodiagnostic testing is required.


SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge and experience of Electroneurodiagnostic testing.


LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Current certification to practice Respiratory Care by State of Wisconsin. Registered by the National board for Respiratory Care (RRT) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST). Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is preferred.
