- Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Must hold a California State RN License.
- Valid Basic Life Support certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Additional certifications like Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and/or Pediatrics Advanced Life Support may be required based on unit assignment.
- Specialty certification through the ANCC is necessary for RN III within one year of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area. (Note: 3 years of recent acute RN experience required for RN II)
- Experience in two or more of the following nursing specialties: Adult Med/Surg/Tele/PCU, Adult ICU/PACU, Women's Services, NICU & PICU, or Emergency Services.
- Must have been a Clinical Nurse II at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for at least one year to be eligible for promotion within the clinical ladder.
