We have a
Material Handler opening at our Conroe, TX plant.
Material Handlers will operate a forklift and work within established safety practices and policies and provide services in support of the plant's production and safety goals.
Our plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment.
Our crews work 12 1⁄4 -hour shifts (5:45am-6pm/5:45pm-6am) working 4 days on/4 days off and rotating from day to night shift every 4 weeks.
Essential Responsibilities
:
- Unload, receive, inspect, and stage raw materials, scrap, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies; replenish supplies in assigned areas.
- Remove finished products from production areas to ensure proper identification, banding, and labeling to meet customer specifications and ensure finished goods are properly documented for shipment.
- Review warehouse production planning schedule to determine duties for shipping and receiving; stage and load finished goods and materials in line with the warehouse and production planning schedule.
- Coordinate all processed scrap materials at bins and hoppers.
- Routinely conduct inspection of assigned equipment, materials used for packaging and trailers and air bags and communicate any machine malfunctions to supervisor.
- Perform and support 5S standards within work area and plant; identify areas of waste and participate in process improvements.
Basic Qualifications needed to be considered for this role
:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.
- Safety conscious with ethical integrity to maintain a safe work environment.
- Demonstrated team collaboration skills including the ability to manage stress to resolve issues and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- 3 or more years of forklift operation and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience using JD Edwards, AS900 or other similar warehouse or ERP system.
