    American Dream Vacations, a leading provider of RV rentals, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated RV Mechanic/Make Ready Technician to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our make ready team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our rental fleet is in optimal condition for our customers' road adventures.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Mechanical Inspection: Conduct thorough mechanical inspections on rental RVs to ensure all components are in proper working order. Identify and address any issues that may affect the vehicle's performance.
    2. Appliance Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of small appliances within the RVs, including but not limited to stoves, refrigerators, and HVAC systems. Ensure all appliances meet safety and functionality standards.
    3. Exterior Cleaning: Execute exterior cleaning tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of rental RVs. This may include washing, waxing, and detailing to present vehicles in top-notch condition.
    4. Maintenance and Repairs: Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed. Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any mechanical or operational issues discovered during the inspection process.
    5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide detailed reports to management regarding the condition of each vehicle and any work performed.

    Qualifications:

    1. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of RV systems, engines, and mechanical components. Previous experience as an RV mechanic is highly desirable.
    2. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify and address any issues that may impact the safety and functionality of the rental RVs.
    3. Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of RVs for rental.
    4. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, including the maintenance team and administrative staff.
    5. Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills to report findings, request assistance, and provide updates to the management team.
    6. Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (additional technical education is a plus).
    • Previous experience as an RV mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
    • Familiarity with RV systems and appliances.
