The Position


The Culture-Forward Marketing Strategy Lead will be a visionary leader responsible for driving transformative strategies to promote representation and inclusivity in NNI's marketing efforts.

This role will serve as a culture-forward community of practice lead, driving initiatives to reach various communities and developing inclusive marketing plans that resonate with diverse patient populations.

They will seek to find a competitive edge and differentiation in transformative strategies, set high standards, and establish/maintain a proactive market leadership position.


Relationships
Reports to US Head of therapy area. Responsible for providing interface with key internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborates with therapy area HCP/Consumer Strategy and Experience Leads, market access and policy/advocacy (MAPA), Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I), and other cross-functional teams to develop campaigns and content that resonates with diverse audiences - considering cultural, socioeconomic, and healthcare access factors.

This role will manage regional area marketers and collaborate with other area marketers to share best practices/create a community of practice.


Essential Functions

  • Community of Practice: Collaborate with therapy area HCP/Consumer Strategy and Experience Leads and other crossfunctional teams to integrate health equity principles in marketing campaigns. Facilitate knowledgesharing and establish best practices for culture forward marketers across therapy areas
  • Cultural Competence: Develop a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and healthcare preferences of diverse patient populations to inform marketing strategies, in partnership with the DEI&B Team
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities and challenges within different demographics and underrepresented communities
  • Multicultural Strategy: Develop strategic approach to reaching diverse communities in support of brand/therapy area focused efforts. Identify objectives, optimal goals and key messages needed to resonate. Support the development of promotional assets
  • Insights-

Driven Marketing:
Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of culture forward efforts and make data-driven adjustments to enhance the customer experience and align with the needs of individualized customer segments

  • Partnership Management: Create partnerships and collaborations with therapy area community organizations, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to amplify the reach of health equity initiatives and understand the unique needs of diverse communities. Identify vendors that are best suited to support culture forward marketing initiatives
  • Internal Education: In partnership with the DEI&B Team, Educate and train marketing teams on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in marketing strategies and content creation; foster a mindset of cultural competency within the marketing organization, encouraging sensitivity to diverse communities and their healthcare needs
  • Best Practices: Set standards and guidelines for inclusive marketing practices, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company values. Stay informed on emerging trends, channels, and technology within the pharmaceutical marketing landscape and health equity space. This role is also accountable for developing strategies and approaches that promote the Responsible Use of our products

Physical Requirements
Approximately 20-30% overnight travel.


Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in marketing with a focus on incorporating equity and inclusivity principles into marketing strategy
