  • Seeking Math Coaches who will facilitate instruction for math student programs for the SUMMER 2024 from June 3rd
  • June 27th, 2024. _
  • Desire instructors who love to ignite learning in fun, engaging and unique ways. Our programs are very different from traditional classes. We infuse music, community circle activities, math games, outdoor math games to include scavenger hunt math, etc. _
  • Leadership experience is a plus for Math Coaches. Our coaches will be leading or cofacilitating student math programs. Math Coaches must be forwardthinkers to better engage Gen Z leaners. We refer to our coaches as "_
    Facilitators of Instruction"_ _who infuse futuristic teaching strategies that allow the kids to do the heaving lifting in group settings. _
  • Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that students are engaged through culturally relevant lessons plans and social emotional learning. We provide the custom math curriculum, but open to new curriculum as well. Paid Program training is provided and most importantly our goal is to have lots of FUN helping our learners find their love of math We ask that all Math Coaches have a strong aptitude up to Algebra 1._
  • We offer great compensation. Summer school hours Monday-Thursday; for 45 weeks between the hours of 8:00 AM 2:00 PM. Expected training begins in May 2024._

*Math Asst. Coaches

  • College students or graduates seeking teaching experience please apply. No teaching experience required. $25/hour.

General Responsibilities:


  • Math coaches must be well versed in mathematics content and pedagogy and will work directly with students for the Summer, but will either lead or be a Asst. Math Coach.
  • Maintain and share best practice results.
  • Provide students with STEMulates' prepost math assessments as directed and to ensure improve performance that will be provided to each classroom we serve.
  • Contribute to the growth and achievement of student SBAC scores; promote a strong understanding of math and leverage 21st Century teaching methodologies.
  • Possess strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, theory of practice, group instruction, data acquisition, analysis, etc.

Responsibilities:

The mathematics coach must be knowledgeable and capable of direct, effective interaction with students, while being supportive and encouraging.

The math coach must continually analyze the strengths and challenges of the students and build on these findings to help improve instruction so that students' grow and thrive.


Communication:
Math Coaches provide responsive and anticipatory communication with transparency, trust and integrity.

The math coach is expected to provide the Chief Educational Officer with weekly reports updates and attend weekly check in meetings.

We are always looking for your insight on the students' strengths, challenges, opportunities and threats to fail and we provide advice for improvements.

Math coaches are required to participate in a couple of training prior to start and during as needed via Zoom.


Culture Development:

Math Coaches must consistently promote the vision, mission, core values and culture of STEMulate Learning at all times (Please see website).

They must understand the importance of culture distinction and ensure that it's valued at all times.

Coaches must role model the behaviors they want present; demonstrating what a top-notch STEM consultant should reflect.

They must ensure collective responsibility for building a unity of purpose, communicating a common vision, and creating a positive organizational culture.


Required Qualifications Math Coaches:


  • Passion for math education and a commitment to serving children.
  • Degree in Education, Math or Science preferred.
  • Superior relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prefer not mandatory, Previous teaching experience math coaches.
  • Commitment to culture of transparency; high expectations and continuous improvements.
  • Superior presentation skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all people at all levels including key external partnerships.

Preferred Experience:


  • Strong background in educational leadership or STEM.
  • Classroom experience teaching math and instructional leadership knowledge.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus but not required.

Schedule:


  • Monday
  • Thursday (12 classes per day scheduled between 8 AM 2:00 PM.
  • Must be open and flexible to slight schedule changes when given advanced notice.
