Description

The function of the Quality Assurance Assistant is to perform all administrative functions and render assistance to the Quality Assurance Manager during normal business operations.

• Responsible for assistance in the maintenance of the ISO/AS/EN Quality Management Systems (QMS) at AM&FG
• Problem resolution
• Corrective Action Reports and Preventative Action Reports
• Contract Review
• Review customer PO and terms & conditions for QA requirements.
• Compare customer PO, Supplier Quote
• Review material specifications.
• Review drawing against Customer PO and specifications.
• Check to make sure revision number of all documents are correct.
• Keep track of Production Drawings
• Interacts with Sales Department as related to quality aspects of sales
• Interacts, with supplier and customers in matters related to quality.
• Assists QA Manager with the resolution of quality matters, contacts customer or supplier to resolve questions or problems
• Attends the monthly Quality Committee meeting.
• Responsible for test reports
• Collection and processing
• Documenting and Recording
• Upload Test Reports into Opp Board (ISO 2)
• Tracking
• Interaction with Testing Lab and supplier for test reports
• Performs administrative functions through completion
• ISO/AS/EN Quality Management Systems
• Assists with the maintenance of QA manual
• Assists with the preparation and administrative functions for Supplier Surveys
• Customer Surveys
• Survey Monkey

Competencies Based On:

• Education: Associates Degree or above,
• Training: ISO related professional training
• Skills: 1) Rapid assimilation of operating procedures

2) Understanding of metals and metal testing

3) Excellent Interpersonal Skills

4) Able to read drawings and specifications

Quality Assurance in production environment
Experience in Metal and Forgings preferred


Pay:
$40, $50,000.00 per year
