Description

Each one of our nearly 50 authorized John Deere dealerships provides a workplace where employees are family and customers return because of the skill, service and trust our employees provide.
Performs basic diagnostics, maintenance and service repairs on customer owned turf equipment at the customer's residenceParticipates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment

Valid drivers license and good driving record required to operate fleet vehicles
Ability to use basic computer functions
Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
They must be able to move on/under machines to perform repairs and services. They often have to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance. There will be occasions where small engine technicians must operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes as well. Work is performed on even surfaces on a hard floor. There is exposure to dirt, grease, fumes, cuts, bruises, strains, loud noises, etc.
To combat these potential dangers and risk hazards, Small Engine Technicians must follow strict safety procedures, proper equipment safety, and PPE.
